The trailer of this film gives the impression that it has been edited using only the best moments from the main movie. Throughout the trailer, some of the franchise’s iconic scenes have been recreated.
Chakrayudh Ghosh, Reporter – The trailer for Housefull 5 is finally here! While this franchise might hold nostalgic value for teenagers, its appeal among mature audiences has always been questionable. When today’s adults were teenagers, the series first began. While Part 1 captured viewers’ hearts, the franchise now feels somewhat outdated.
The trailer begins with three characters named Jolly, played by Riteish Deshmukh, Abhishek Bachchan, and Akshay Kumar. Their father, played by Ranjeet, has died, and the three characters are now fighting over his property. Enter Dino Morea, Fardeen Khan, and Chitrangada Singh—not the main characters, but still playing important roles in the story.
Throughout the trailer, famous scenes from earlier installments of the Housefull franchise are recreated. For instance, the iconic scene from Housefull 1 where Akshay Kumar gets slapped by a monkey and then makes his classic “Aaa…” sound. There’s also a comical scene with Jacqueline Fernandez, which is more geared toward adult audiences. We also briefly see Chunky Pandey in one of the scenes.
At the very end of the trailer, Sanjay Dutt and Jackie Shroff appear. Jackie delivers his son Tiger Shroff’s iconic line, “Chhoti bacchi ho kya?” While the trailer is somewhat entertaining, it raises concerns that the full movie may not live up to expectations. It feels like the trailer is a collection of highlights rather than a reflection of the entire film.
Notably, female characters are barely given any space in the trailer. Punjabi actress Sonam Bajwa, Nargis Fakhri, and Jacqueline Fernandez don’t get much screen time. Only time will tell how the film performs at the box office and whether Akshay Kumar can once again stir up a storm, powered by the franchise’s legacy.matter so far.
